Whats refreshimng about Bullies in 1971 is that they never shot you, just punched you out. What a relief to know our generation had fair play in mind and kept it real.
I personaly never had a bully issue with the exception of the period around 1974 when the idiots started their racist crap of ganging up on people of a different color in the bathrooms. It was always five on one and they remain the same cowards they are today demanding Respect when they can't spell it. A guy was stabbed in 1976 on opening day of school as I was home on leave from the military and heard all about it.
AHS is a great school with great kids. We must remember this in that the bullies are the few 1% and the 1 also matches their IQ...

Whom can argue that Duane Samples was not the best clown in the class of 74? Lots of great memories as Duane made AHS a better place for me personaly. I mean, who else would wear diapers to school absent anything else?

Raymond Beasely, the name to me makes me recall a Black John Fogerty as Raymond was black. I never knew Raymond and am not even sure I'm spelling his name correctly...but....in 1971 there he was signing in a Freshmen dance in the main Gym. Beasely was an AHS student with a band and sounded Exactly like Credence Clearwater Revival, or Forgerty.

Sam Bashline were about to enter the Marines in a few Months and decided we needed to party. After a 12 pack of Colt .45 on Old Lane Road near Towt St we staggard (did not drive!) to AHS 300 yards away and climbed the walls via a pipe into the Pool area. We commenced to "swim" in garbage cans (clean) or "bob around" as it were until Bashline (not me)pulled a fire alarm. So we ran all the way back to Towt St half naked (not a pretty sight today my friends)more drunk than not. Hopefully the statute of limitations is past and we cannot be touched. In the event they are not this story is made up as a joke as we were both at home watching the P

In 1970 I was in 8th grade at El Sausal and often went to the AHS theater with Wayne and Earl Edgin (class of 71). There was a play rehersal going on called "Annie Get Your Gun", A WESTERN MUSICAL set in the 1880's America. Mr Mullin produced - directed it and it was a blast to watch it all come together. Opening night I was there, the play was a great success. Althought I never got into theatre I have good memories of theatre at AHS and watched as much as I could.
Sadly Mr Mullin was killed in a traffic accident out of state somewhere in the mid-west arounbd 1971 or so. Mr Mullin was highly respected by his students as this was clear.

During Lightweight football practice there was alot of interesting stuff going on with the upper classmen of 70-71. As a freshmen I was not tuned into the lunacy and found it difficult to grasp the humor in putting Nair in someones Jock...
