Memorial Message:
Alan was friend and member of the class of 1975. Alan passed on approximately 8-10 years ago due to cancer. Alan was a close friend of Danny Ross(class of 74)and running back for the 73-74 Varsity football teams. Danny and I chatted about ALAN during our 30th reunion and had some laughs and good memories. Alan was a quite person having nothing negative to say about anyone as I recall. Alan was a husband and father.
As an athelet Alan was smart and had speed. He picked his way into a defense making gains and as I recall seldom was he hurt or complained about the pain running backs endure. He loved the game of football and he loved being part of the Trojan experience we all shared. I personaly cannot think about AHS without tossing in a few thoughts of Alan.
I first met Alan at Bardin school in 1961-2. He was in first grade "conducting" his school band that consisted mostly of those damn triangles they made us hit. Alan had this green conductors wand that was actualy a big stick teachers used to whack us with. I last saw Alan in Salinas near a decade ago and he was happy then also.
So, hats off to our comrad Alan Douglas #22 .
